DMR Breakfast – What does this mean?

What does this mean?

For DMR operators and those interested in getting on to DMR, in and around the Edinburgh area. Join us for Saturday morning meet up over breakfast.

Allister GM7RYR prior to the 1st DMR Breakfast:
Not quite sure what it is going to be like yet but a very informal sociable event so you are able to “put a face to the voice” and enjoy a full duplex conversation !
For the more structured parts we may :
Have a short presentation of the developments in the DMR network over the past 2 years,  and look at the GB7DE/EE repeater site, coverage plot and the equipment in use.

Have a discussion about developing a “DMR manual” to collate relevant information with specific local content.

“Show and tell” of some examples of repeater hardware , (commercial and home constructed) some hotspots and have a few unusual DMR radio’s on the table.

The venue is a moderate size room that can accommodate 20 or so people . Tea/coffee and biscuits would be  available through the morning with a “Walk-in menu” choice of bacon roll or scone with butter & jam or like that @ £3.00 per person / order.  A full Scottish breakfast can be ordered in the adjoining dining room if needed.

There would no doubt  be some DMR radio equipment for sale on the day for local amateurs at competitive prices .
